Textual cover analysis 2! Manson Heron

The acoustic cover model's clothing is this picture connote to me that he is of a high calibre in the music world because the colour black represents to an audience class, sophistication and success and when a man is wearing black he is dressed to impress and is very clean cut.

His glasses are a symbolic sign which connote to me again intelligence and sophistication, they do this as I've learned through social networking and TV and film that when people wear glasses they depicted as 'brainiacs' or men and women of high intelligence or they wear them to show themselves at a higher status above others.

Martin Taylor's slicked back hair is a signifier. It denotes to the audience once again that he is a man of class and emotion. His hair makes the consumer view him as a clean cut gentleman and also gives you a little insight to how his music may sound, you can tell it's mainly for adults by the way he looks because he looks so sleek and pristine.

The typography and colour of the typography on the cover connotes the 'clean cut' message further. By using whites it looks tidy, innocent and also represents to the consumer the genre of music very well as acoustic music is stripped back, bare emotions which is reflected in the white typography.

The orangey/brown typography colour represents the guitar which is again representing the music, as the typography is the same colour as the guitar it makes it pop from the page and keeps it all in a simple colour scheme further more representing the simplicity of the music and in more depth i believe it represents the emotion of most acoustic music, as it is usually very powerful and heart felt, where the musicians lay their emotions bare, like the colour scheme.

I'd would say the demographic for this certain issue would be leaning more toward males as i believe the cover leans more toward the male gender because of the fact its a fairly manly cover.  This is further explored with the language used in one of the sub-headings "conquer" is a very powerful masculine font which a male demographic would appreciate more than a female demographic.
